Services
Infants 6 weeks to 1 year.
Our Infant program will provide a loving, nurturing atmosphere where your child will receive plenty of attention from our experienced and well trained staff. At Stonebriar Academy, we believe it is very important for the baby to “bond” with the caregiver and feel safe. We provide a bright, happy, area with soft toys, infant-size climbing structures, and an array of stimulating developmental activities. Infants are encouraged to touch and explore their surroundings. Teachers read, sing, and play with the babies while ensuring a sense of trust between the caregiver and child. We give special attention to our youngest members by keeping our ratios low and allowing tranquil and clam environment for them to grow and develop

Toddler
Our Toddler program has a wonderful curriculum designed just for Toddlers. As Toddlers independence grows so does their curiosity. Our teachers will encourage your Toddler to explore their surrounding while providing a safe, loving, and creative environment. Our unique blend of care and education fosters exploration, self-control and social skills, and continued support for the emotional needs of your young child.
Preschool 2- 2 1/2 years & Preps 2 1/2 -3 years
Our Preschool/Prep curriculum is developmentally appropriate for this age and encourages creativity, problem solving, self-awareness and positive social interaction with others. Children learn best when they are learning what interest them. Preschool & Preps classrooms include rich learning centers that invite children to participate in self-directed activities, as well as teacher directed activities that promote listening and following directions. Due to the fact that learning is fun they are actively engaged in developing skills and knowledge needed to be successful later in their academic careers.
Pre K
Our Pre-K teachers use the TEA (Texas Education Agency) Prekindergarten domains to make the Pre-K Lesson Plans. There are 10 different domains or areas.
- Social and Emotional Development
- Language and Communication
- Emergent Literacy Reading
- Emergent Literacy Writing
- Mathematics
- Science
- Social Studies
- Fine Arts
- Physical Development
- Technology
Each of these domains or areas has specific skills that prekindergarten children should learn. Appropriate activities are planned to introduce, practice, learn, and reinforce these skills which promotes your child’s development and prepares him or her for kindergarten.
We also use many of the “Frog Street Press” materials. Your child will meet our alphabet friends such as Apple Annie and Benjamin Bunny while learning the letters of the alphabet and the sounds. You will also see several little readers. The children enjoy the songs and learn important skills such as print to speech matching, identifying sight words, and learning to spell the color and number words.
Our Pre-K Curriculum includes:
Daily literacy and math instruction
Daily calendar time
Center Time for social development and academic reinforcement
Science, social studies, and health instruction
